My family are your basic 2 parents, 2 kids and a dog affair, with a slight twist in that my parents are a lesbian couple who have been together since the early 80’s. This being something quite rare in Ireland, we are occasionly called upon to tell our story. So it’s pretty normal for us to explain to people that we don’t know our fathers, call of them both mum and were never bullied for being the sons of a lesbian couple.
I’m a psychology student, studying in UCD but currently on Erasmus in France. In my spare time, I’m a photographer, environmentalist and loudmouth for rights for the LGBT community. Currently what interests me most is highlighting the lack of provisions for children of same sex couples in the Civil Partnership Bill. Check out this post for one example of this.
